BeeDash + BeeLatch

A free phone app and a small plug-in module that put live battery, cell and temperature data from a SURRON Ultra Bee or Light Bee 2 on your phone, without touching how the bike behaves. This is the project I would point to first: firmware, mobile app, hardware, website and shop, all built end to end.

Status: BeeDash is live and free (Android APK now, iPhone beta on TestFlight). BeeLatch is $29.99 and ships October 18. BeeLatch Pro with cellular and GPS is planned for December 2026.

See it run

A recording of the app in its built-in Demo mode, a simulated ride, so anyone can try it without owning the bike or the module.

What I built

The app

React Native / Expo for Android and iPhone: five selectable dashboard looks, mph or km/h, Fahrenheit or Celsius, ride recording and export, and a Demo mode driven by a simulated ride.

BeeLatch hardware

An ESP32-based plug-in replacement for the T-Box position that reads the bike's CAN bus and relays it to the phone. Read-only by design: it never changes bike settings.

Protocol work

Decoding battery, cell and temperature data from captured CAN traffic, with confirmed readings labelled separately from provisional ones in the app.

The business side

A static-site build system, a Cloudflare Worker for the shop and downloads, signed app releases, and TestFlight and Google Play beta pipelines.
